Abazonian Community Leader Still Detained in Cyprus

It has been over a month since the illegal detention of Mr. Bernad, Abazonian Community Leader in Cyprus, and the silence surrounding his case is growing more troubling. The leader, a key figure for the Abazonian people in Cyprus, was arrested by local authorities under circumstances that remain unclear and unjustified. Talks were held concerning his release, and though they sounded promising, to no avail nothing happened. Despite continued efforts from his members residing in Cyprus in their previous peaceful protest, nothing has been said or done to resolve the issue.

His family—wife and children—are facing severe hardships in his absence, struggling emotionally and financially during this challenging time. The Abazonian community in Cyprus remains united in prayer and hope, continuously calling for the immediate release of their beloved President.

The community is urging for action and justice as they patiently await his return, hoping that the weight of their collective voice will lead to his freedom soon. The delay in addressing this unjust arrest is not only affecting one family but the entire Abazonian diaspora in Cyprus.

Let us continue to support and raise awareness of this injustice, amplifying the call for his release.

  1. The president of southern Cameroons community in Cyprus should be released. His absence is affecting all the members in Cyprus. Justice should be done to the president.
